Should there be a maximum age limit for politicians?

When the founding fathers conceived our republic they had no concept that someday the president of the United States would be over 81 years old. They did feel that the minimum age to serve in this capacity, to have enough world or life experience was 35 years of age. It behooves us to think that why didn’t they establish a maximum age requirement. Trump is 77 and Biden 81 and to be honest they do not instill either strength or confidence. Both walk slowly like old cats, have age spots, dotter to the podium, and speak as if the oratory of the politicians of old was too strenuous to continue within their current physical states. For whatever it’s worth, the leader of the free world should have color (real color Mr. Trump) in their hair and have a commanding presence. He or she should be projecting strength, well enough strength to lead as commander in chief in a prolonged war. They should also have enough strength to press the button to armageddon should the need arise.

What we have in American politics are the human remnants of two political parties who should have retired long ago. A stable of politicians whose upper echelon members, like most politicians today, want to make their careers viable till they die. No one in Washington politics is retiring to write their memoirs while they still have the eyesight or the wits to do so. Ulysses S. Grant was the last to do so I think?

I find it imperative that an amendment to the maximum age requirement for holding the presidency be set at 70 years of age. In this way more youthful politicians can represent the country, and project power to our enemies. Vladimir Putin isn’t a shaky walker and he looks good in a ghee while practicing karate and ruining the world. 35 to 70 years makes more sense to be president than the Ludacris fiasco we have in this country now.
